Kim Kardashian was classmates to individuals who would later build an empire as she did. One such classmate was Paris Hilton. In her 20s, Kim Kardashian was Paris Hilton’s stylist. She got much of her initial media attention as a result of her relationship with Paris Hilton.

Kim Kardashian’s mother got married to the Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner on April 21, 1991. Young Kim later gained two half-sisters, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner, as a result of this new marriage between her mother and Bruce Jenner. 

Kim Kardashian’s biological father successfully defended O.J. Simpson. He read a statement to the media by O.J. Simpson who was a close friend of Rob Kardashian. Rob Kardashian was able to convince the court to acquit the double murder charge that O.J. Simpson had received. This court case is still seen as one of the most controversial criminal trials.

Prior to rising to superstardom, Kim Kardashian got married to Damon Thomas who was a music producer. She was only 19 years old when she got married to Thomas. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last, and Kim would later regret having gotten married to the music producer. Thomas has worked with stars such as Pink and Faith Evans.

Kim Kardashian lost her biological father on September 30, 2003. He died at the age of 59 after a long battle with esophageal cancer. Kim Kardashian was among the speakers at Robert Kardashian’s funeral. She later described this as the most difficult thing she has ever done in her life.

Kim Kardashian and Damon Thomas got divorced on February 28, 2004. The music producer later shared that one of the challenges he was having with Kim Kardashian was that she was a compulsive shopper.

Following Brandy being labelled the worst dressed celebrity, Kim Kardashian was hired to be the R&B singer’s personal stylist. Kim Kardashian was given the task of reinventing the singer’s image. During this time, Kim was also a personal shopper for singer Lindsay Lohan. The star was also hired to assist many other stars with their style and shopping.

After working with Brandy as her stylist and shopper, Kim Kardashian eventually met Ray J. Ray J is Brandy’s brother. He is also a singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. The two sparked and later started dating. 

Kim Kardashian played a role in the television drama series, ‘Beyond the Break’. The show focused on four women trying to make it in the world of professional surfing. The television series was shot in Hawaii.

Kim and her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, opened a luxury clothing store in California called D-A-S-H. The luxury story now has other branches in New York City and Miami. The store sells clothing, accessories, and bras from a wide array of clothing brands.

A home sex tape with Kim Kardashian and Ray J made its way to the internet in February of 2007. The company Vivid Entertainment bought the rights to the home sex video and released it as ‘Kim Kardashian: Superstar’. Kim Kardashian sued Vivid Entertainment to reclaim ownership of the video. Ironically, this video which features Kim Kardashian and Ray J having sexual intercourse launched the stylist into stardom.

In May 2007, NFL star Reggie Bush courted Kim Kardashian. The courtship lasted a little under three years. She was photographed beside Bush during his 2010 Super Bowl victory with the New Orleans Saints.

In August 2007, Kim Kardashian dropped her lawsuit with Vivid Entertainment which had released her leaked sex tape with singer-songwriter Ray J. In the process, Kim Kardashian received $5 million from the company.

This is a series that is based on the private and professional lives of the Kardashians and the Jenners. The show was aired for the first time on E!. Many successful spinoffs have come from this show. It boosted the star status of both families.

Kim Kardashian filmed a music video for ‘Jam (Turn it Up)’. The song was done for the show, ‘Kourtney and Kim Take on New York’. The video featured rapper Kanye West. It was directed by Hype Williams who has worked with many stars in the music industries including Coldplay, JAY-Z, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj. 

After getting engaged on May 18, 2011, Kim and Kris did not waste any time. The two got married with a beautiful wedding ceremony on August 20, 2011, at a private estate in California. The wedding took place with 440 guests and cameras from E!. The long list of special guests included Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest, Avril Lavigne, and Demi Lovato. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last very long as the couple got divorced 72 days later.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed North West into the world on June 15, 2013.

After being in a relationship for some time, the two decided to tie the knot on May 24, 2014. 

Kim’s book, ‘Selfish’ was released on May 5, 2015. The book contains 325 selfies of her face. It went on to be a New York Times Bestseller. 

Saint West was born on December 5, 2015. He is North’s little brother and big brother to Chicago and Psalm.

Kim launched her first line of beauty products in June 2017. She started with a contour kit and brush set that was made available in three colors. She later announced a powder contour and highlighting palette. The business has grown significantly since.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian welcomed Chicago West to the world on January 15, 2018.

The star started to show great interest in social justice in 2018. This sparked her journey to becoming a lawyer. 

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian welcomed Psalm West to the world on May 9, 2019.

Kim Kardashian West launched her new range of shapewear called Kimono in June 2019. Due to controversies surrounding the name, Kardashian West changed the name of the line to Skims. 

Kim made the announcement that the long-running series would come to an end after its final season airs in early 2021. At that point, the series would have done 21 seasons on television.
